Marie’s Mission by the Numbers

On Saturday September 21st the Mission distributed 121 packages of diapers and wipes to 63 families

Our Helpers

Our distribution day included many of our regulars along with volunteers UMass Medical School.  The Medical students passed out first aid kits, talked with parents about the importance of hand washing and proper use of hand sanitizers.  The also distributed handouts on treating cuts, burns, and insect bites.

Diaper Time is Talk Time

We continued to distribute board books for young children and to share handouts on the importance of talking to and reading to young children.

What we need

The most popular sizes this month were again 4T-5T pull-ups, we gave out 31 (13 boys and 18 girls). We also distributed 23 packages of size 6 and 20 size 5.  When making donations to Marie’s Mission please be mindful of those sizes.

Donations

Marie’s Mission received 3280 Diapers from the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Diaper drive on September 13h.  The drive also provided wipes, books, clothing and numerous miscellaneous items such as detergent to wash baby clothes (we wash all clothing donations that we receive before they are put out for distribution).
