November 2018 News

Marie’s Mission by the Numbers

On Saturday November 17th, the mission distributed 98 Packages of diapers and wipes to 62 families!  We also gave out lots of diaper cream.

Our Helpers

Thanks to the efforts of our many volunteers (including Bill and Julie Burgoyne, Mary Kalmanovitch, Jane Leary and Ron Motta) the hall was ready for us.  Sarah Galvin and Louise Motta (with help from the Galvin boys Tom and James and the papa Ron) moved the diapers shelving and bins from the church to the hall. As always Jane Leary was there Saturday to handle the distribution.

Little Extras

We distributed small Thanksgiving Meal Starter Kits to help our guests provide a Thanksgiving Day meal to their families. Any unclaimed kits were given to Thanksgiving food drives at the Abbey Kelley Foster School and the West Boylston Senior High School.

What we Need

Our biggest demand as always is for sizes four (4), five (5) and six (6) with each averaging over 20 packages per month. In November we also distributed 14 packages 4T-5T pull-ups.

December Plans

For our next distribution on December 15th we are offering our guests a picture with Santa and warm pajamas.

Amazon Wish List

We will be adding pajamas to the Marie’s Mission wish list on amazon. There is a link available on our webpage at mariesmission.org.

Thanksgiving Church

We had our second Thanksgiving Church following the mission distribution.  This is a wonderful service particularly for young children, offering a kid friendly lunch, music, and prayers. The service is open to mission volunteers, parishioners, and any of our Marie’s Mission guests who would like to join us.
